Romney, Murphy to Travel to Middle East

WASHINGTON –  U.S. Senators Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Chris Murphy (D-CT), Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near East, South Asia, Central Asia, and Counterterrorism, will travel to the Middle East, including Israel and Jordan, in the coming days to meet with government officials to discuss and strengthen the relationships between the United States and allies in the region. Additional information regarding their visit will be shared in the coming days.

“The U.S. faces complex challenges around the world, particularly in the Middle East. It is critical that we maintain and strengthen our alliances with key partners in the region,” said Romney and Murphy. “Over the next several days, we look forward to discussing shared priorities and strategies to meet those challenges.”
